Goals, assists, dribbles and top-level performances: Alpadjo Cisse has been awarded the season’s second trophy by BKT, Title Sponsor of the championship, as MVP for the month of October.
The numbers of the young Italian talent, born in 2006, are those of a true attacker. After arriving at Catanzaro last summer, he showed no fear at the start of his career there: he has been under the spotlight from the very first games, playing at the highest level, also earning himself a first call-up to the National Under 21 side.
The MVP trophy for the month, devised by BKT - leader company in the production of Off-Highway tires and Title Sponsor of the championship - and officially recognized by Lega B, confirms his continuing growth. The prize was awarded to Catanzaro’s new talent following the combined votes of the journalists of DAZN, official broadcaster of the championship, Stats Perform and creator Elena Mannucci. The official award ceremony will take place pre-match before Catanzaro-Pescara, valid as the 13th Serie BKT matchday.
Opta data confirm his impact on the championship: 3 goals, best scorer of the month, and 31 participations in shots, including conclusions and chances created. And not only that: he is the giallorosso player with the most passes completed in the opposition half, 87, no less than 13 more than any other attacker, and he also boasts the largest number of successful dribbles in the period.
Hellas Verona was the first club to believe in him, and he made his debut there at just 16 years of age. This season we will see where Cisse will manage to take Catanzaro in Serie BKT. Will he again be next month’s MVP?
