PIETRO IEMMELLO LIFTS THE SERIE BKT MVP TROPHY FOR NOVEMBER 1

Pietro Iemmello is the best player in Serie BKT for the month of November. So the MVP goes to an Italian footballer for the fourth time out of four, after Vergara, Esposito and Pierini.

The centre forward will receive the award devised by BKT, the leader company in the production of Off-Highway tires and Title Sponsor of the championship in collaboration with Lega B, on the occasion of the Catanzaro-Spezia match, matchday 18 of the first half of the season.

The Catanzaro attacker was voted for by the journalists of DAZN, official broadcaster of the championship, together with content creator and match analyst Nicolas Cariglia.

Since the start of November Iemmello was the player who scored the most goals in Serie BKT: five. Extending the comparison to the five major European championships and the respective second divisions, in the month of November Iemmello was in the top 3 for goals scored. Against Sampdoria, on 30 November, the attacker scored his first hat trick in 165 regular and post-season appearances in Serie BKT.

Iemmello, who was actually born in Catanzaro, is a veteran of Serie BKT. Nicknamed “The Czar” or “King Pietro”, he is a centre forward endowed with a good eye for a goal who, during his long career, has played for a number of teams in Italian football, including Foggia, Spezia, Sassuolo, Benevento, Perugia and Frosinone. At youth level he also boasts experiences with the Italian national team in the U17, U18 and U19 categories.

With 9 goals scored in the championship, Iemmello currently occupies second place in the table of goalscorers and is on course to win the Pablito, the award reserved for the top goalscorer in Serie BKT.
