BKT AND RFEF TOGETHER TO PROMOTE THE VALUES OF SPORT AND SUPPORT SPANISH FOOTBALL
Balkrishna Industries Ltd (BKT), a global brand and one of the leading manufacturers of Off-Highway tires, is proud to announce a new and significant partnership with the Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF), the highest governing body of football in Spain.
This strategic agreement reinforces BKT’s commitment to supporting sport as a tool for growth, inclusion, and social development, through its support of one of the most prestigious football federations in the world.
The Real Federación Española de Fútbol has reached an agreement with BKT under which the multinational company will become the official sponsor of Spanish referees for the next five seasons. The sponsorship will be visible on the uniforms of First Division referees. Additionally, BKT will be the Official Tire Partner of the Copa del Rey Mapfre Final, with dedicated presence in the UTV, press room, and hospitality areas.
The agreement was signed by RFEF President Rafael Louzán and Lucia Salmaso, Managing Director of BKT Europe. The signing ceremony, held at the Ciudad del Fútbol, was also attended by Fran Soto, President of the Comité Técnico de Árbitros (CTA), Álvaro de Miguel, Secretary General of the RFEF, and, representing BKT, Lorena Pea (Sponsorship & Brand Event Manager) and Marco Santin (Sponsorship Specialist).
In particular, the partnership will see BKT working alongside the Comité Técnico de Árbitros (CTA), which operates independently within the Federation and is responsible for the management and training of referees throughout Spain.
Led by Fran Soto, the CTA plays a fundamental role in ensuring the proper conduct of competitions, supporting thousands of referees every week and promoting a sporting culture based on discipline, impartiality, and professionalism.
As Managing Director of BKT Europe, Lucia Salmaso stated: “The sponsorship with the RFEF shows that we want to partner with the best in football.
