OBED NKAMBADIO IS AUGUST’S LIGUE 2 BKT ROOKIE OF THE MONTH 1

The French youngster is finally shining at Paris FC

Paris FC’s goalkeeper wins this season’s first Rookie of the Month award, which recognizes young players who stand out in Ligue 2 BKT, highlighting the title sponsor’s commitment to young generations.

CERTIFIED PARIS

Born on 7th February 2003 in Paris, Obed Nkambadio grew up playing for grassroots clubs in the city’s banlieue before signing with Paris FC at the age of 16. Four years later, he made his professional debut with Paris FC in a 2–2 tie against Annecy on 30 September 2023. A week later, he played for the first time in front of his home fans at the iconic and historic Stade Charléty.

This summer, he won an Olympic silver medal with Thierry Henry’s France U23 team, playing one game in the group stage, a 3-0 win over New Zealand. He had previously played for France’s youth teams: U17 and U20.

HIS NUMBERS SO FAR

After his first season in Ligue 2 BKT, the second youngest goalkeeper in the league is now ready to shine. His early performances in the 2024/25 season confirm this impression, as he has the highest number of clean sheets and the second-highest percentage of shots stopped among goalkeepers who have played the most matches.

The first Rookie of the month has been assigned: who will be the next to leave his mark?
