With Christmas close at hand, BKT, Title Sponsor of Serie BKT since 2018, is back making little ones dream again. The second edition of “Sogna in grande” - Dream Big - the BKT social project that tells the story of football through children’s eyes, is ready to start. After the success of the first edition in Pisa, the initiative will now stop off in Cesena in collaboration with Cesena Football Club.
“Sogna in grande” is the Christmas project by BKT, the leader company in the production of Off-Highway tires, which enables a number of lucky children to experience special days with Cesena FC, playing professional roles from the football world. This will not be the classic story of professional sports journalists, but two unique days marked by the carefree attitude, joy and curiosity that are typical of children, who are always capable of exciting and surprising.
The second edition will present a number of innovations, plus professions new to the project. The match between Cesena FC and Mantova 1911 on Saturday 13 December, Serie BKT matchday 16, will provide the stage for the children, who, like in the first edition, will become journalists, photographers, video operators, assistant referees and on-pitch announcers. In Cesena some of them will also be live match commentators and content creators, telling stories from even closer to the match. Thanks to the collaboration with DAZN, the broadcaster of Serie BKT, and the well known commentator DAZN Riccardo Mancini, children will commentate on the match live. Meanwhile the Two Twins, guided by the Chiamarsi Bomber digital community, will teach the children about the role of content creator. The influencer duo will enable us to experience the city and fans of Cesena and get to know them better during the fifth stage of the BKT Fan&Fun Tour.
The true uniqueness of the initiative is involving children in this activity who live in local “case famiglia”, group homes, which are environments that are busy every day supporting minors at risk and improving the quality of life of the more fragile members of society. For this reason, the project involves the Fondazione Romagna Solidale ETS and the Associazione Papa Giovanni XXIII.
It is with initiatives such as this that BKT aims to underline its strong commitment to society, community and organizations promoting inclusion. “Sogna in grande” is confirmed as being much more than a Christmas project: it is a message that goes beyond the festivities. It is a way of inviting children to discover how football, and sport in general, represents a world of opportunities, far beyond the confines of the green rectangle of the football pitch. It is an opportunity to show them that, with commitment and passion, every dream can become a reality.
In order not to miss any of the children’s story and their journey, you just have to follow the contents that the children themselves will create on the social channels of Lega B and Cesena FC, but also those of DAZN and bkt.sport, starting from Wednesday 10 December, the day when they will meet the professional footballs for the first time during training.
