Presented today the three-year agreement that makes BKT Official Global Partner of LaLiga
Madrid (Spain), 26 September 2019 – Today, the agreement which makes BKT “Official Global Partner of LaLiga” was officially presented in an outstanding location – the Wanda Metropolitano stadium in Madrid. The partnership will last for three years and will end at the closure of the 2021/2022 season.
The press conference was opened by Javier Tebas, President of LaLiga who set out LaLiga’s view of internationalization and the values that it shares with BKT: fair play, respect for your opponent, competitiveness and strategy. Rajiv Poddar, Joint Managing Director of BKT and Lucia Salmaso, CEO of BKT Europe – the Italian branch of the Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) Group – then spoke about the company and the partnership.
Rajiv Poddar presented BKT’s world. Among the leading manufacturers in the Off-Highway tire industry, BKT offers tailored products for specialist and demanding sectors, such as those of agricultural, construction, and industrial machinery, in earthmoving, ports, mining, ATV and gardening sectors. Currently, BKT’s share of the global Off-Highway tire market is estimated at around 6%. Last year it recorded turnover of over 900 million dollars, but the company is aiming high and in the near future intends to increase turnover and expand its market share.
And this is where sport comes in. A unique, distinguishing and important activity in which BKT has identified a strategic instrument and which it has already chosen for numerous projects worldwide.
The partnership agreement with LaLiga is an important step in strengthening its brand awareness. The company is very active in terms of communication and promotion and LaLiga symbolizes football and is a perfect vehicle to impart the BKT message globally. Without forgetting the strategic relevance of Spain, one of the most important agricultural markets in the world and a key sector for BKT.
