IGUE 2 BKT: LUAN GADEGBEKU IS THE FIRST WINNER

This season’s first “Rookie of the Month”, the prize that showcases the emerging young talents in Ligue 2 BKT and shows the commitment made by the Title Sponsor BKT to the new generations, has been awarded to the midfielder Luan Gadegbeku.

Born on 13 March 2007 in Juvisy-sur-Orge in France, Gadegbeku took his first steps in football in the youth team at Fleury, to then move in 2022 to Saint-Étienne, where he began his career among the professionals. It was in that same year that he was first called up to the French national youth team, making his debut in the Under 16s. His constantly improving performances have enabled him to climb up the categories, and he has now worn the shirts of the Under 17 and Under 18 teams.

His official debut in Ligue 2 came in August, in the away game against Laval. Since that moment, Gadegbeku has played three other matches with Saint-Étienne, all distinguished by excellent performances, earning him the title of Rookie of the Month for August.
