At the time of receiving the award, Nicholas Pierini had scored four goals in four matches played in Serie BKT, as many as he had scored in the previous 45. Furthermore, according to the Opta data, among the forwards who scored at least three goals in the month of October, the striker born in '98 in Parma had the best ratio both in terms of goals/minutes (35) and of goal/shots on goal (100%).

Pierini is a fast and tactically very versatile player, who can play right across the front of the attack. Technically skilful, he is good at attacking overloads and set-pieces. In Serie BKT he boasts considerable experience with Spezia, Cosenza, Ascoli and Venezia, before arriving at Sassuolo in August.
