BKT BRINGS PRE-MATCH EXCITEMENT TO THE SIX NATIONS 1

BKT, the leader company in the production of Off-Highway tires, is ready to entertain rugby fans with an extensive programme of activities devised to bring pre-match excitement to Six Nations games. In all its sporting sponsorships, BKT is committed to involving fans in ad hoc initiatives, developed based on the territory and the sport of reference.

For the Six Nations, the company has prepared areas entirely devoted to games and fun, ready to entertain the public during the pre-match period. A first taste of the activities was offered to the fans present at the England-Wales and France-Ireland matches.

In England, BKT created a large Fan Zone near Waterloo railway station in London, a fundamental transit point on the way to the stadium. Over 1,000 fans received gadgets, took photos in “Rising Fans”, the photo booth devoted to the competition, and participated in the games of skill of the BKT Challenge, as they were heading to the England-Wales match in round one.

Pre-match at France-Ireland, fans participated in another special activity outside the Stade de France: “Sing with BKT”, a challenge in which fans tested their abilities in singing the national anthem and in choirs supporting their nation’s team, guided by two animators. During the match, BKT continued the fans’ involvement through a contest on social media, bringing together the playing field and the digital world. In collaboration with Midi Olympique, a publication specializing in rugby, and with the Rugbyrama social page, French fans were able to participate in the drawing of five tickets for the France-England match, through a competition on Twitch.

The appointments at Waterloo Station and in Paris were just the first events in a calendar abounding in activities that BKT will run throughout the Six Nations competition. From next weekend, in fact, fans can take part in the following pre-match initiatives:

  • Saturday 14 February, Scotland-England: fans can test their skills with the BKT Challenge, take a photo at the Rising Fan and collect their exclusive BKT gadgets.
  • Saturday 21 February, Wales-Scotland: BKT will accompany fans at the match with various fun activities, the Rising Fan, the BKT Challenge and the distribution of gadgets.
  • Saturday 7 March, Scotland-France: fans will receive free gadgets and will be able to participate in Rising Fan and BKT Challenge activities.
  • Saturday 14 March, France-England: in the last match in the Six Nations, BKT will offer Sing with BKT, together with the BKT Challenge and the distribution of gadgets.

With all these activities, BKT, Official Tire Partner of the competition, confirms its role as a brand close to international rugby fans. This commitment is also confirmed by the BKT Rising Player trophy, devised to celebrate the growth and development of talents in both the male and female Six Nations.
