A special guest for a match that’s … a classic. So BKT decided to invite the founder of the hugely popular social media page "La Granja del Borrego" to take a cross-ocean flight from Colombia, his native land, to Spain, to watch the match between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The aim of this collaboration was to involve the fans, above all the younger ones, and promote both the BKT brand and the Spanish football championship.
El Borrego, famous for his fun and educational content associated with his life on the Farm, received the news on a farm in Madrid where, finding himself sitting on BKT tires, he opened a letter containing the invitation and tickets for the match.
After a short visit to Girona and meeting the striker Savio, a footballer who comes from a farming family, the following day he arrived in Madrid, where he passed through the fanzone specially created by BKT for photos and to sign autographs and engage in the numerous activities offered by the Indian company.
To celebrate another splendid Clasico, BKT, global partner of LaLiga, devised an unprecedented social activity. Fans in blue and red and white from all over the world joined together to support their club, taking up the challenge to take photos and create hashtags.
By following the content on the official channels of the Spanish championship, each fan could participate in the competition by completing the tasks published daily by accompanying each photo with the hashtag #ElClasicoRM or #ElClasicoBarça depending on their team.
A given number of points were available for each task assigned. Also, by following the Live Web Text it was possible to establish which team was ahead in real time.
